My name is Nyree, married to Nathan with two gorgeous little boys, Sam (short for Samuel) and Noah. Currently I juggle family life with working part time as a family doctor and have just finished a Masters in public health and tropical medicine. I thought it might be fun to start writing again and a blog is an easy way to do that, sharing stories of family life and challenges, adventures and plans. Faith is an important part of our lives and definitely has an impact on what we do and decisions we make. I love to read, swim and play with my boys. Sam is our effervescent, hyper-energetic, outgoing 9 year old. Noah is our mechanically minded little entertainer who happens to have Childhood Apraxia of Speech and at age 6 is still learning to talk. Some of my posts will talk about our journey with helping Noah to find his voice.
We also have a heart for missions, or simply being involved with what God is doing in the world. I have a developing love for Papua New Guinea, our nearest neighbour to Australia and have been there with a medical ship four times now with plans to return in the near future. We’ve also been to China a few times to serve with friends who were running a home for children with disabilities. Currently we support programs in schools in our local community.
Thanks for journeying with us!
